Dear Reader
Not being green-fingered myself I incorrectly named one of the trees featured in our “Tall Stories” Article as being a Nandi Flame and in fact it isn’t. The Nandi Flame is pictured here on the right..
So without any further delays, here’s another great issue of The Eye for you to sink your teeth into…
Our Main Article on Mount Elgon was written by Elaine Gordon and it is a personal account of climbing this mountain which Elaine did along with friends Pamela Wright and Carol Walton to raise money and awareness for the Acid Burns Foundation. Our Charity article coincides with our Main Article by giving us more insight into the Acid Survivors’ Foundation Uganda (ASFU). This is a reality some of us would care to forget about but one that needs some serious attention and support.
Cam McLeay reports back on the Adrift Adventure Race, Petra Behnsen adds some colour in our Arts/Culture Page through her feedback on the Kampala Street Arts Festival.
CHOGM 2007 is fast approaching and with businesses and individuals alike gearing up for this important event, The Eye Uganda will be publishing a Souvenir issue to coincide with this Summit. This special issue will be published in addition to our Bi-Monthly October-November issue.
Thank you to all our readers and advertisers for the constant feedback on how to improve The Eye, we value any feedback received. Please remember to send us an email on theeye-at-theeye.co.ug with any further updates to listings – we are only as good as the information we receive.
Be Safe and Best of Luck to you All!
