Welcome to another useful and informative guide to
Uganda, The Eye Magazine.
I don’t know how you feel, but the weather in Uganda
has been really erratic lately. I was under the impression
that it was the “dry” season – which usually brings with
it the heat and dust – but it has rained a lot in the last
two months and it would seem that things are not what
they should be.
No matter what the weather though, Uganda is a country
that you can visit all year round and most establishments
are equipped for all seasons. So why not get out there
and experience Uganda and all she has to offer!
In our August 2009 issue – as with all of our other issues -
we have a lot of really interesting articles for you to read.
Our main article takes you on a 2 day Kayaking Cruise
down the river Nile; our travel review comes to an end
with the second part of our River Nile story; our restaurant
review on Uganda’s only Greek restaurant, Athina
Taverna a must to try out while our accommodation
review on Gately Inn Entebbe is a boutique hotel worth
making an effort to stay at. Our sports review is all about
the latest craze, Taekwondo, while our alternative health
review gives us some insight into Cranio-sacral therapy.
We all know what it is like to grieve as an adult but what
about our children? Our health review takes a look at
grieving in children; “The Art of Whisky making” 2 is
our societies review and we give you an update on the
Service Summit that took place in January 2009.
