Dear Reader: June -August 2005

Because of travel difficulties over a hundred years ago it would have been an arduous 6 months battle to get to Uganda, a country almost unknown. Now days it’s an 8 hour direct flight from London, the benefit being; anyone with $1000 + spending money can enjoy the best of Africa’s natural beauty and wildlife not to mention the friendliness of our adopted home. So be sure to pick up your copy of THE EYE and visit every corner.

In this issue of The Eye, as we have not covered Marabou Stalks before and given they live amongst us, we decided they have long been neglected and need a mention. Stockley again brings smiles to our dials with an update on drugs available for tropical viruses. We cover an article on Bananas - yes, yes how could they possibly be interesting, but to my surprise there is more to them than meets THE EYE. For the connoisseurs, we are also running a Wine Appreciation Course that will be covered over 6 issues.

You will be pleased to know we have NOT moved offices again and still in Kololo, 23 Prince Charles Drive. There have been a few requests to be more specific as it is a little difficult to find if you don’t know we are in the MICROCARE compound, whose entrance is on Ibis Vale.

Big thanks to advertisers and contributors - they have helped grow THE EYE again another 4 pages making the biggest issue thus far: 104 pages, we must stop somewhere so I think Ill go on holiday for the next issue!

Until next time.
