It’s the dry season so welcome to warm and dusty
Uganda - Incidentally, if you are a golfer then now
is the time to try and hit those long drives, as the
ground is hard and even the shorter hitters can look at
reaching the par 5’s in two! Golf is an enjoyable sport
and in Uganda it’s no exception. There are several
courses around the country like the Uganda Golf Club
in Kampala & the Entebbe Golf Club and a few more
lessor courses in Jinja, Mbarara, Tororo and Fort Portal
which are all worth playing.
On the development side, there are big things
happening at Bujagali with the power generation,
so now is the time to white water raft or kayak these
rapids before they disappear forever.
In this issue, our main article focuses on butterflies;
we preview the Toyota Yaris Sedan; Cafe Roma is the
topic of discussion in our restaurant review and we
take a closer look into the Uganda Bikers Club in our
sports and outdoors review. Our societies review gives
some insight into the American Recreation Association
and we bring you all the news on the Bayimba Music
Festival which will be taking place in September (see
What’s On Page). Our health review looks at the
myths of training and food while our alternative review
looks at Indigo children.
