Hello “Otya nno” from Uganda!
In this issue our focus is on Murchison Falls NP and on
Uganda’s arts and crafts. Check out our main article on The
History of Murchison Falls National Park; our travel review
takes us down the river Nile on a boat safari; we take you on
a journey to Kidepo’s newest camp, Nga Moru Wilderness
Camp; read all about Uganda’s Arts & Crafts and get some
insight into what you can expect at Kampala’s hippest arts,
crafts and cultural event, MishMash.
There are two things that we encounter on a daily basis– the one is change and the other is saying good-bye. We
had to say good-bye to Jonathan “Jonno” Nkata as he has
left the Eye Uganda magazine to pursue other interests.
We wanted all our readers and advertisers to know that we
wish him the very best in his new ventures. I have enjoyed
the 5 years that I have worked with Jonno and I know that
I speak for all of us at the magazine when I say that this
place just won’t be the same without him.
Jonno, we’ll never forget you and we are sorry to see you
go. Good luck from us all!“If you wish to be happy, think not of what is to come nor of
that which you have no control over, but rather of the now
and of that which you are able to change” – Christopher
Paolini, Brisingr
Enjoy Uganda everybody!
Eds Notes: Our apologies to all concerned
for the error in the last issue of Uganda’s Art Scene, we
inserted the incorrect caption in one of the photo’s. Daudi
Karungi was standing at Afri-Art gallery next to the works
of Ronex (the works were not actually his own)
